SMART Telecom, the people’s network, has announced the launch of its mobile money service, SMART Pesa, aimed at delivering affordable mobile financial services to all Ugandans. SMART Pesa customers will be able to send and receive money, deposit and withdraw cash, and make bulk payments such as salary disbursements. In the future, customers will also be able to access micro-credit and micro-savings accounts.

To mark the launch of SMART Pesa, SMART has introduced an initial offer enabling customers to send money up to a maximum of Ugx 4 Million across any mobile network for only Ugx 100/-.
