A woman was on Wednesday caught as she attempted to steal cooking oil from a supermarket in Eldoret.

A hawk-eyed attendant had noticed her trying to stuff two containers of cooking oil into her bag and raised the alarm.

Eldoret town has witnessed several instances of shoplifting in the recent past.
