Musician Leila Kayondo and tycoon lover Suleiman Kabangala aka SK Mbuga will face the Magistrate in court tomorrow after their case took a different turn.
The tycoon who has now been in jail for two days after being arrested on New Year’s Day for battering his lover, maintains that what happened between him and Leila K was a small mishap which they have since resolved. Police has however refused to release him from custody despite the fact that he kissed and made up with Leila K.
“I can’t beat a woman just like that it is not true. We had a small problem which ended up turning violent but everything is okay now. I found her in a place I didn’t expect her, with people I didn’t expect to find her with so I was just asking her what was happening and we became mad and everything went out of hand,” he told the media at Kabalagala Police post yesterday.
With a swollen face, Leila later forgave her man for what had happened between them but Police couldn’t release him even after the pardon because he has a case to answer.
“I have withdrawn the statement. I didn’t mean all those things that I posted on Facebook and Instagram. I did it all in anger. I apologize to everybody.” Leila said before the media and Afande Benard Mugerwa the DPC Kabalagala.
Unfortunately for the two, the case has taken a sad twist. The matter will be forwarded to court tomorrow after Police does a few final touches to the case file. The two will have to face the magistrate and explain what exactly happened in order to have the case closed.
