Several musicians were rewarded at the recently concluded inaugural Rising Star Awards 2014. Among those rewarded were ID Twins for Best Rising Star Musician on social Media.
ID Twins, perhaps Uganda’s only music duo made up of identical twins, could not hide their excitement on being announced the Best Rising Stars on Social Media. Donning a matching camouflage ensemble, the Twins thanked their fans for the support and promised to release more music as they received the award.
ID Twins composed of Wasswa Tamale Cosma and Kato Kedie Kigundu is known for their songs like Nkwetaaga, Oliwaddala and Ankyaaye among others. The brothers also compose and write songs. Besides music, the twins are also IT specialists.
According to the organizers, Rising Star Awards strive to establish and promote high standards of individual, collective achievement and fresh talent. The Rising Star awarding ceremony that was held at Theatre La’Bonita attracted several prominent musical and entertainment personalities like Isaiah Katumwa, Maro, Rwamiti Miles among others.
