In a few week’s time, singers Jose Chameleone and Sheebah Karungi will be boarding the next plane that will see them land in Obama land as it has been revealed that the two singers will be the major headliners of the 30thAugust to 2nd September 2018 edition of the Uganda North American Association Convention in Seattle Washington at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.
According to the organizers of the convention, we have been informed that the singers were chosen because of the hard work they have been putting in to see the music industry grow to the level it is.
The UNAA Convention is the largest non-political formal association of Ugandans living in the diaspora with major objectives of the organization being to “Promote the Social, Cultural and Economic Development of the Ugandan Community in North America and beyond.” The Ugandan Community in North America numbers over 120,000 individuals, and they gather annually in the UNAA Convention to interact and discuss various issues happening back home in Uganda.
Others who have confirmed attendance are Irene ntale, Fik Fameica, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Eddie Yawe, Carol Nantongo, Alex Muhangi Comedian, Madrat & Chiko, Bettinah Tianah who will be the host of the event, among others.
