Police in Nansana, one of the city suburbs, is hunting for a pastor for staging death threats to renowned kadongo-kaamu singer Mathias Walukaga. According to his following he is said to have prophesied that the singer will die in a fortnight’s time by poisoning. It is also said the pastor had earlier on prophesied the death of fallen comedian and politician Paddy Bitama Ssali.
This piece of disturbing prophesy has left Walukaga trembling and opening up a police file accusing the pastor of death threats. Nansana police station officer in-charge Muhamed Kirumira says the hunt for a pastor in Nansana who refers to himself as the “New Jesus” is on. The pastor’s accomplice, one Yazid Jumbam now in police custody will help in investigations.
Walukaga says he now fears for his life and has refrained from eating in public places to avoid poisoning and opted to prepare all his meals himself.
