There are several reasons that make us doubt the level of talent Ugandan musicians have. Many of them lack originality, and at least 45% of our musicians have gone ahead to Xerox other people’s songs to make theirs. This makes us wonder if they don’t have the ability to write their own and they mostly duplicate nigerian or Jamaiacan songs.
A shocking revelation indicates how a young and upcoming musician known as Eddy Profit who once proclaimed to be an illuminati member has also gone ahead to follow the trends of his seniors by trying to rhyme the same way in his new song dubbed sukuma as Nigeria’s Patoranking and Young Grayc did in their collabo song called Chukuwa.
The two songs from Eddy Profit and Patorankings sound similar in their verses and this has raised eyebrows as to whether Eddy Profit has an idea of what these Nigerians can do to him if they came to know about it above all showing the level at which our industry still stands.
