Simon Lubulwa aka Computer won the 2015 Kampala Open title at a crowded Lumas Arena in Namirembe on Sunday night.

Computer beat Salim Akankwasa 6-3 in the best-of-11 final in the men’s category to win a trophy and a cash prize of 2 million shillings which was all topped up with 10 seeding points. He is seeded 64 in the national rankings.

“I am back, Computer is back. I had so many personal problems that kept me out last year,” a victorious Lubulwa told Daily Monitor.

Having won the Kampala Open title, he will now turn his focus to winning the Nile Special National Open at Lugogo Indoor Stadium that is scheduled for this weekend whose grand prize is a brand new car.

Before his weekend triumph, Lubulwa beat a number of pool giants like seed-9 Musa Ssekiriba, seed-4 Sula Matovu in the Quarter finals and Pool Cranes Captain Oscar Ocakacon in the semifinals.

In the ladies’ category, Ritah Nimusiima defeated Michelle Nandawula by 5-3 to win her third consecutive title in the best-of-nine final.
