Tanzanian premier league giants Simba Sports Club yesterday defeated Uganda’s representatives at the ongoing Mapinduzi peace cup in Zanzibar, URA FC by 1-0.
During a game played at the Amman stadium in Zanzibar on Wednesday night, Simba SC fielded two Uganda born players including a former Tax collector’s strike Diego Hamis Kizza and defender Murushid Juuko.
Ibrahim Ajibu scored the only goal of the game that saw URA being defeated in a highly contested encounter.
From the lineup that beat JKU by 3-1 in the opener on Monday, head coach Kefa Kisala made two changes that saw Derrick Tekkwo and Julius Ntambi be introduced in the places of Noah Semakula and Ronald Kigongo respectively.
