Police is investigating a South Sudanese student who stabbed a fellow student and head boy of St. Michael SS, Ssonde to death over a suspension he got for sneaking a phone into school.
Lual Nyok, 22, on Saturday night managed to sneak back into the school to revenge on Rukundo, 18, who got him suspended while other students were attending night prep.
The students who witnessed the shocking incident told Police that Nyok aimed for Rukundo’s heart and sunk in a knife.
Rukundo’s father, James Rutahinga, who had just visited his son a few days before the incident, reportedly passed out on getting the shocking news of his son’s death.
Police suspects Nyok had inside help as he easily traced Rukundo at that time of the night and is now questioning the security of the school.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, said that Nyok’s search is on, and they are currently interrogating his Sudanese friends about his possible hideouts.
