With COVID-19 restrictions on social gatherings loosened, social events are slowly making a comeback. One such event is the Latin Fiesta which resumed on Saturday after a two-year hiatus.
Held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, it was an evening of merrymaking as revelers indulged their palates and danced the evening away.
Guests who turned up in dozens took turns on the dance floor to twirl and step to salsa music.
Returning for its 4th edition, the Latin Fiesta is aimed at celebrating and experiencing the Latin culture including their music, dance and food.
“We are reopening for our normal activities after a long period of the COVID-19 pandemic and confinement. We can see that people have a need to have good time so Sheraton Kampala has brought back a certain number of events that we stopped 2 years ago.” Said Jean-Philippe Bittencourt, General Manager, Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
“Today especially is the Latino night which we have done in the past. This is the 4th edition and it’s an occasion for people to gather, enjoy drinks with some spices from Caribbean, Cuba, Mexico; the Latin countries.” He added.
“We are creating an atmosphere and ambiance to enjoy Saturday night. We will have this every month until end of the year. And continue into next year.” He concluded.
