Sheraton Kampala Hotel Honors Starwood Preferred Guests

Loyalty being a good benchmark for all successful businesses, Sheraton Kampala Hotel is greatly privileged to have this quality in their customers. Every year Sheraton Kampala Hotel takes off some time to appreciate its loyal customers who are members of the SPG Pro program and consist of customers that are mostly managers, front desk personnel, sourcing and procurement managers and administrators who book their customers to not only Sheraton Kampala Hotel but also Starwood hotels around the world.

It is a tradition for Sheraton Kampala hotel to host its Starwood Preferred Guests (SPG) to an annual themed SPG Pro Awards dinner where they also award the guests with amazing prizes for their accumulated points over the year.

This year’s award dinner was themed West African Culture and the guests as well as hotel staff turned up in traditional West African attire. The organizers took it a step further and brought in a West African food specialist who together the Hotel kitchen brigade brought a little bit of West Africa to the Sheraton Poolside. The décor was also appropriately themed to bring out the spirit of the night and the entertainment to match including a fashion show by a local designer.

Salvado Idiringi kept the guests laughing with his jokes as he emceed along with an eclectic mix of West African music by DJ Ian who thrilled the guests with his selection of songs along with the headline musician of the night, Solome Basuuta.

Speaking at the award dinner, the General Manager Sheraton Kampala Hotel Jean Phillipe Bittencourt said, “the Hotel is very grateful to host company administrators who took up the SPG Pro loyalty program and signed up individually. The SPG Pro dinner has now become a tradition for us at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel and it’s also an opportunity to meet face to face with some of the people who bring business to the hotel and thank them for the awesome job done.”

“Anyone can be an SPG Pro member and you just need to register with us to be part of it. SPG Pro membership gives you amazing benefits through your points and as they accrue by booking more business to the hotel, the rewards get bigger!” Concluded Bittencourt.

The night was spiced up by Turkish Airlines which gave out a return Business Class ticket to Europe through a luck dip draw and Uganda Breweries that also gave out a couple of premium whiskies to some lucky winner.

As 2017 approaches, Sheraton Kampala Hotel will also be celebrating 50 years since opening its doors in 1967 and the General Manager encouraged everyone to come and celebrate with them come next year. There will be a lot of merry making and splendid events aligned to appreciate our customers for the support they have offered throughout the years.
