Shell V-Power gives customers pit stop experience.

After successfully launching the Shell V-Power club last year which registered over 5000 members and enabled 5 consumers win a fully paid trip to attend the Abu Dhabi grand prix, Vivo Energy, the company that distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has now revamped the Shell V-Power club making it better and bigger with more exciting prizes this year.

This year, the card will not only be used to redeem points but it will be used as a currency, meaning that customers can literary swipe and purchase anything at Shell stations including fuel, gas and lubes using their card.

Customers will on every purchase swipe their cards at the point of sales at the station and their payment details will be captured and relayed to the Pegpay loyalties system and the payment will be registered against the customers’ profile.

A receipt showing the payment details and earned points will be issued by the Point of sale terminal and the customer receives an instant SMS advising them of the earned points and the accumulated points.

Customers will then be able to redeem their points when due through the POS terminal at different fuel stations.

This year the campaign is getting bigger and better with the number of customers flying to Abu-Dhabi for the most exciting motoring event, doubling from 5 to 10. Monthly prizes will include winning a full car service, Tool box, First Aid kit, and Tyres (set of 4) among others. There will also be site rewards such as shirts, Bags Umbrellas, caps and car fresheners.

Speaking at the launch of the campaign, Vivo Energy Managing Director, Hans Paulsen, said the campaign was aimed at rewarding existing customers, to boost loyalty among them, as well as to encourage other motorists to try the Shell V-Power brand.

“Shell V-Power customers have the double benefit of winning prizes and also operate cashless with only swiping their cards to purchase any Shell products. I therefore urge the general public to join the club and use their cards at every opportunity to pile up points” said Hans.

“We are seeing an increasing uptake of Shell V-Power especially by motor bikes looking to save on fuel for both short and long distance drives. This is as a result of their appreciation of the fuel’s capability to enhance everyday driving performance and responsiveness,” He further noted.

“As a company we are keen to grow lasting relationships with our customers through such campaigns and also through continuous focus on their needs in order to grow our business,” He concluded.

The fuel has been formulated to meet with the latest environmental standards, as it is designed to reduce engine deposits, helping engines against gunk and corrosion, ultimately making them produce fewer emissions.

Shell V-Power recently launched New formulation which is yet another benefit for customers to enjoy with the brand hence multiplying performance benefits.
