Arthur Blick Jnr emerged winner of the Source of the Nile Rally over the Easter Weekend.

The final day of the Source of the Nile Rally in Iganga saw crews swapping positions in almost every stage but Arthur Blick Jr. who by far had a trouble-free rally claimed a first National Rally victory.

The Shell Helix-sponsored driver who was excited after the win admitted to have gone through a tough challenge.

The 2014 CRC Champion, Wilber Pole Pole took second place. He trailed by 5 minutes, 3seconds behind Blick.

Another Shell sponsored driver and NRC defending champion, Ronald Ssebuguzi was among the 28 drivers who did not complete the rally. He didn’t go further than Stage 4 after suffering turbo failure.

Day one winner Desh Andrew Kananura suffered a broken tie rod in stage 6, this shuttered his title bid as he doesn’t appear on the NRC standings yet.

Duncan Mubiru was a victim of the day as he incurred a suspension problem just minutes to the finish.
