The year 2016 might have been the best for her, but Sheilah Gashumba will not forget the awkward moment when she was thrown out of the Blankets and Wine event last weekend.
The NTV Uganda presenter who showed up for the event expecting bouncers to make way for her like a princess since she is a celebrity was shocked when they stopped her from entering the gazetted area for the event.
An embarrassed Sheilah kept asking bouncers to check with organisers as her name was on the list of socialites to attend the event, only to be turned away.
At one point she was asked to go out of the line so that people with tickets can enter and enjoy the fun that comes with Blankets and Wine.
It is at this point that she made phone calls to her friends who were already on the inside to come to her rescue.
Sheila was only saved by a friend who turned up and had an extra ticket for her. She then made her way to the event probably vowing to start buying her own tickets to events.
