Sheila Nvannungi and Kayibanda, part of the trio that hosts the early morning show on CBS along Patricko Mujuuka, have been shown the exit. Sheila and Kayibanda were fired following the ongoing reshuffle that came with the re-branding of the station. CBS radio Buganda has been re-named to “Emmanduso” and all programs revamped.
According to reports, Michael Kawooya Mwebe was appointed to replace Kaaya Kavuma as CBS FM’s Managing Director at the close of last year and he has since spearheaded the revolution at the station.
The revamping saw Sheila and Kayibanda taken off the morning show to other programs at different hours of the day. Sheilla Nvanunngi who was given an evening show declined the offer stating she had personal businesses to take care of in that period, and she was consequently dropped. Kayibanda also adamantly rejected the move leading to his exit.
Sheila Nvannungi has since been replaced with Ann Sebunya in the early morning show. There is also a new guy to do the skits Kayibanda used to do.
