The NTV host for T Nation, Sheila Gashumba, could not hide her joy when she was called upon by the organizing committee of Lubiri High School to brace their Prom night that was prepared at the premises in Mengo.
It was at around 8pm on Saturday, when Gashumba arrived at the school to grace the event amidst cheers and applause from students. Everything transpired quite well despite electricity that was on and off that tried to disorganize the prom night.
During her speech, Gashumba shocked everyone when she spoke like a responsible lady despite her age and all students were attentive. She cautioned students about the prevailing AIDS and told them to wait till it’s the right time for relationships. “I couldn’t believe those words were coming from me. It was my first time to be a guest of honor,” Gashumba said.
Students were splendidly dressed in outfits that would entice their dates for the night. However, all did not seem to go well with every one as some students were left discontented with the happenings of the night.
According to Gloria, a form 6 student at the school, the organizing team cheated them by collecting 50k from each student and then give them food not even worth 3k. “I wish I had pocketed my 50k and ate kikomando, it would have satisfied me more than this,” she was heard saying.
There were performances by Khalifa Aganaga who sang most of his favorite songs including Ndabilawa and kitangala. Rabadaba and Papa Cidy also embraced the event.
