When the COVID-19 Pandemic hit earlier this year, societies struggled to settle into the new rhythms of life at home, as the long-term effects of the coronavirus pandemic on economies, industries and day-to-day lifestyles around the globe.

For example, the entertainment industry, one of the biggest income generator and most followed worldwide changed the consumer attitudes and behaviors as music concerts, parties, among others were all halted.

In countries like Uganda, the effect was so deep as it was fond of organizing an average of five big shows per month countrywide.

It sparked concerns from stakeholders on how they would adjust to the health threat at the same time steadily revamp the music business.

Fortunately, in July one of Uganda’s prominent singers, Omulangira Suna (OS Suna) dropped a proposal of holding his concert, Tebatusobola concert amidst such a skeptical season.

This was shocking to his fans and friends as many ran with advice to him but OS Suna maintained plans of his concert up to date without consideration of any arising challenges.

Tebatusobola concert is slated for 30th August 2020 at Calender Hotel, Makindye.

According to the concert organizer, Abtex Promotions the concert will be due to the date announced and will owe to the Ministry of Health’s stipulated Standard of Operation Procedures (SOPs).

OS will now register Uganda among the first ever countries to hold scientific concerts globally after England and Germany that are also due this month.

Reports coming through in our news room this morning are extremely saddening to the Gagamel International members and fans, at the same time the entire music industry.

These regards the passing away of young singer Allan Masengere, famously known as Shortkut Sojah.

Shortkut has been bedridden for almost two months and if you can recall in the past weeks, we reported to you his deteriorating health as it was revealed by Gagamel International CEO, Bebe Cool who is also his uncle.

Since then, fellow musicians and fans had flourished his social media with recovery and comforting messages until earlier today morning when he breathed his last.

This included the House of Prayer Ministries head, Pastor Aloysius Bugingo who paid him a visit in hospital , carrying prayers and anointment for a healing.

The despairing news was dropped by Bebe Cool via his social media in downhearted mood.

“The Lord has decided my son Allan Massengere should join him in a better place, thank all the doctors and nurses who tried to save his life for the past 40 days. May his soul rest in peace,” Bebe Cool wrote.

The bond between the Bebe Cool and now the Late Shortkut has been pretty narrow as the ‘Wakayima’ singer had now owned him as a son, apart from being his nephew.

Their history is phenomenal as one of the renown deadly moment was in 2010 when they both narrowly survived being gunned down at Centenary Park, Kampala.

Shortkut is famously remembered for his monster hit song; Big Mouth By Far Ft. Denzo that crewed beef between Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine in 2013.

However, Shortkut’s cause of death persists unclassified.

This website has also learnt that the vigil and burial arrangements will be communicated later in the day.

Yesterday singer Spice Diana paid a visit to her fan Rukia Nakigudde (19), who suffers from cerebral palsy. Rukia who had long longed to see her artiste got surprised when Spice Diana drove her convoy to her hime in Kitende.

Spice Diana supported het business with 950,000ugx, food items, hiuse hold items and have her a brand new phone to keep in touch.

Spice Diana also pledged to come up with a strategy to enable Rukia achieve her dream of modeling in a few weeks to come. The songstress also said she would keep in close touch with Rukia.

Shacquille Wedderburn, aka Lucas Musiq, was born on December 29th, 1993 in St. Ann, Jamaica

Born with a love for music, he was able to sing and play instruments at a considerably young age. He later realized that he could also rap; and got into music production.

Formerly known as Tzone, he gained experience spanning different genres with production credits on tracks such as Vybz Kartel’s “British Love” and Black Ryno’s “Leggo me nuh”.

He released his debut album in 2016 entitled #NotFromHere. This sold out event displayed his great music, youthful style and current beats. He was awarded Break Out Artiste of Year 2016 at the “Love Gospel Awards” and also nominated in 2018 as Favorite Gospel Minister by the Youth View Awards “YVA.”

Lucas has performed at major events in the Caribbean with many International Artists. At “Prayer Jam Live” in Antigua, Lucas was able to build relationships that have opened doors to greater influence the generation of young people that he represents worldwide. His new singles, “Switch Up The Cycle” (along with official video), “Stay Cool” and “Keep It Real” were released this year with more to come.

Lucas is now ready to declare that “Play Time is Over”; the name of his new album set to be released in 2020. He already switched up the cycle; and is staying cool as he takes the lead.
