Musicians like Sheebah Karungi who have been using sex and sexual innuendo’s to sell their music to fans are in trouble. The singers could be tamed by the new regulations that have been released by Cabinet against erotic dances and sexually suggestive language. If anyone goes against the regulations, the courts will be free to fine them shs10M or send them to prison for 10 years.
Sheebah who always makes sure that she shows a lot of skin and other parts during her music shows will be in so much trouble if she dares to do the same.
“After scrutiny, cabinet has approved the anti–pornography regulations, 2015, which we believe will now ease the implementation of the Anti–pornography Act, 2014. The guidelines prohibit broadcasting of sexually explicit material in the form of still pictures, video footage and vulgar presenter utterances on our media airwaves,” said Mr Muhwezi at a press conference today.
Enforcement of the regulations will commence as soon as the legal processes are out of the way.
