She Cranes crush Zambia in their Netball World Cup opener

She cranes

The Uganda National netball team, ‘She Cranes’ kicked off their world cup campaign in style as they crushed Zambia 74-38 in their Group D opener.

The She Cranes looked brighter, stronger and the better side through out the game winning the first quarter 22-10 and the subsequent three quarters 18-11, 15-9 and 19-8 respectively.

Team Skipper and sharp shooter, Peace Proscovia led by example as she scored 56 goals while Racheal Nanyonga came second on the score sheet with 12 and Stella Oyella with 6.

Next in line for the She Cranes is Fiji who they are play tomorrow morning.

World Cup Games (Uganda Games – Group D):

Friday, 7th August 2015: Uganda 74-38 Zambia

Saturday, 8th August 2015: Uganda Vs Figi

Sunday, 9th August 2015: Uganda Vs Wales

How the She Cranes performed in their buildup games:

1st Match: New Zealand 67 – 46 Uganda

2nd Match: Uganda 39-18 Singapore

3rd Match: Uganda 75- 52 Samoa
