By Ian Ortega. Before the storm settles, a c-scan in a South African hospital has revealed that Sharon O is expecting Ivan’s twin girls. For long, Ivan Ssemwanga’s problem with Zari had been her failure to produce baby girls. She kept on dropping boy after boy, the sangoma was scared, that years down the road, these boys would overthrow him as they matured.
For long, the gods in the shrine kept asking Ivan for girls in order for them to multiply his riches. Zari just had no luck when it came to producing girls. Even after attending some of the traditional healing rituals, there was no success.
But with Sharon O expecting twin girls for the powerful sangoma who cobra is now the most demanded among Ugandan girls, Sharon may stay for years as Ivan’s official assistant shrine administrator.
So in just 8 months, Ivan will become Salongo and Sharon will become a Nalongo.
In Buganda culture, the mother of the twins becomes the official wife and is entitled to every right of raising her kids in the official home. Twins signify blessings and Ssemwanga must have appeased the gods. So this shows that Ronnie Mulindwa may have to go ahead and legalize her bedroom sessions with Hellen Lukoma aka Patra because Sharon may never come back.
