South Africa-based Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan’s husband, Shakib Cham, has revealed how he fell in love with the celebrated businesswoman and how he manages co-parenting with his baby mama.
In an interview with 3 Truths No Lies, Shakib recounted the first time he came across Zari, long before they became a couple.
“She has been a celebrity since way back. I used to follow her since I was young. Even while in Uganda, I once saw her car pass while in town. I looked at her and waved at her,” he recalled.
Years later, while in South Africa hustling, fate brought him face-to-face with Zari again. Shakib explained that one day, after spotting her car, he decided to follow her to a mall just to greet her.
“I saw her car on the road, and I was driving, so I decided to follow her car to the mall. She got nervous and parked next to the security guard. She was with one of her sons. I just told her I was just saying hello,” he narrated.
Although nothing happened immediately, destiny reconnected them years later after Zari had separated from Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz.
That encounter eventually blossomed into the relationship that has now seen the two become husband and wife.
Shakib also touched on his experience with co-parenting, emphasizing that despite the challenges, he maintains a respectful and balanced approach for the sake of his child.
