When you get beauty and add bravery, what do you get? Seanice Kacungira! Yeah, you read right. Seanice proved she is not only a woman of beauty but also a brave one in the ongoing Tusker Twende Kazi challenge. Her and the colleague, a one George Karumbi were tasked to a scale a cliff right across a small lake, swimming through the chilly waters. But that was only half of it, they were supposed to thereafter take a leap and plunge into the water body below them.
The mere thought of that would make anyone cringe, scattering for any other option available. But they did not. After some considerable thought, the two partners decided to face the challenge head on. Even when they seemed pretty scared, they still summoned the courage to successfully accomplish the task. With Seanice taking charge, they got into the water and up the cliff.
Now on top of the cliff, I guess the fear slowly crept in again clouding their minds with second thoughts as they became more hesitant, making the plunge into the waters below seem even more dreadful. Actually that was the most daunting part of the task, I bet the mental images of the cliff’s height alone would give anyone the willies.
But they had come too far to give up now, with Seanice still taking the lead… She breathed in, breathed out; trying to calm herself and concentrate on the task at hand, while her partner too urged her on. And finally summoning every bit of courage… one, tw0 strides, accelerating towards the edge of the cliff… She jumped and down into the water and thereafter swam to the shore. George later followed, after lots of morale boosting from Seanice who was now more calm on the shore, he also jumped into the water completing the task.
For successfully accomplishing the task, the elated partners received a free and comfortable ride to their next destination where they handed over the Tusker bottle to the next competing team. It was certainly a memorable experience they will talk about for days to come.
