SC Villa will today be eager to end their five match winless streak when they make a short trip to Kavumba Recreational stadium in Wakiso where they will play Police FC. The Jogoos have registered three losses and two draws in their last five Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) encounters. A 2-0 loss to The Saints at Nakivubo marked a start to their poor run. They then lost 1-0 to KCCA FC, drew 0-0 with arch rivals Express FC, 3-3 with Soana FC and on Sunday lost 3-0 to URA FC.
To add insult to injury five stars on the Jogoos’ team are suspended including captain Jonathan Mugabi, custodian Nicholas Sebwato, striker Karim Ndugwa, Abdulkarim Kasule and Misi Katende.
Elsewhere, already relegated Sports Club Victoria University host Jinja based club Bul FC at Mandela National stadium today. Victoria University have lost their last eight league games, the longest losing streak this season. Their last game in the league was against Vipers in a Buikwe, a game they lost 4-0. In that game, goalkeeper Ramathan Male broke his leg and he’s expected to be replaced by youngster Eric Kibowa.
Alex Isabirye’s Bul FC on the other hand also come into this game after a 2-0 loss to SC Villa in their previous league match.
