Super League giants and Uganda’s most successful football club, Sports Club Villa has named their 25man squad ahead of the new FUFA super league season of 2014/2015. The 13title league holders yesterday unveiled their squad which included three new foreign signings in the revival process of Uganda’s most prominent club. The three new foreign based players include Zambian striker Nchimunya Mweetwa, Kenyan Justus Anena and Nigerian Victor Eminayo all who are available ahead of the new domestic season.
“Like i stressed earlier on, I would upgrade the squad with foreign based players, here they are and many are coming because i have an exchange program with TP Mazembe of DR Congo and Nkana Red Devils of in Zambia”, the club’s new president elect, Ben Misagga stressed.
Trimming off hair is one of the new club policies ahead of the new season. Following a directive from the club management, the new policy didn’t leave out former KCC midfielder, Hassan Wasswa with his famous dreadlocks.
“Actually, with or without hair, there is a life to live. I will carry on and revive my career”, Wasswa said about the matter.
The squad also includes other new signing form the local clubs among who are; goalies Nicolas Ssebwato from KCCA FC, Ali Kimera from Victoria University, Azizi Kemba from Jinja based Bull FC, Derrick Walulya and Doka Musa. The event took place at the Ivy’s Hotel in Wakaliga on Monday.
