Sports Club Villa have now turned their focus to clash with league reigning Champions Kampala Capital City Authority FC in a city derby dubbed the ‘Klassico’ that is slated for Tuesday, 1st November.
Villa face their City rivals and table leaders KCCA FC after their 3-2 triumph over arch rivals Express Football Club on Saturday at Namboole stadium.
Umar Kasumba bagged a brace on the day while Tabu Vitalis picked the other from the penalty spot as the Blues edged the Red Eagles whose goals were scored by Ibrahim Sadam Juma and Simon Sserunkuma.
The result elevated the Jogoos to second place on the 16-team log with 21 points, just four points behind the Kasasiro Boys who they visit on Tuesday at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
Being the top scorer with seven goals, surely Geoffrey Sserunkuma will be the man to watch for the visitors’ back four while coach Mike Mutebi’s yellow camp will have to worry of Vitalis’ presence who has a personal tally of five goals.
With a game in hand, Villa will ensure to reduce the four point gap if they are to maintain their title chase.
