The Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) returns following an international break in which Uganda Cranes defeated Congo Brazzaville 1-0 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, thanks to Farouk Miya’s solitary first half effort at Namboole stadium on Saturday.

The league returns with three fixtures to be played on Tuesday evening. Azam TV cameras will be in Jinja at Bugembe stadium where Sadolin Paints FC will entertain Bul FC in the Nile derby.

At Namboole stadium, 16-time league record champions SC Villa will host Kawempe based side Bright Stars hoping to return to winning ways with a target to cut down on KCCA’s seven point lead to four.

The Jogoos lost 3-1 to Kasasiro boys at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in their last league encounter while Bright Stars shared the spoils with league debutants of Kirinya Jinja SS in a one-all draw in their last outing. Villa currently stands second on the 16-team log with 21 points from 11 games whereas their Tuesday opponents are 6th with 15 points.

On the same evening Aura Municipality side Onduparaka FC will be plotting a revenge against visitors, Vipers Sports Club who whipped them 3-1 in last season’s Uganda Cup final.
