After defeating Police FC 1-0 at Kavumba on Tuesday this week thanks to Ambrose Kirya’s late header, the 16 time league record champions Sports Club Villa return to home turf tomorrow to host Sadolin Paints in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
The Jogoo’s ended a five match winless run to rise to 6th place on the 16-team log with 41 points from 27 games and will now be aiming to displace a fifth placed Uganda Revenue Authority FC who put them to the sword last Sunday in a 3-0 thumping to make 43 points.
However, Villa will remain without their suspended five players in the names of Jonathan Mugabi, Nicholas Sebwato (goalkeeper), Karim Ndugwa, Abdulkarim Kasule and Misi Katende.
Meanwhile the travellers from Jinja (Sadolin Paints), are currently placed 9th on the league table with 39 points from 27 games and a victory over the Blues at Nakivubo stadium tomorrow would elevate them to 6th place on 42 points to displace their opponents.
Sadolin’s last league action was fortnight ago on 3rd May-2016 when they played to a goalless draw with URA FC at Bugembe Stadium.
