Reports reaching us indicate that Sports Club Villa have written to the Uganda Premier League secretariat seeking the postponement of the tie against rivals Vipers Sports Club.
The two local giants are supposed to face off in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) on Saturday, 3rd December 2016 at Nakivubo stadium but the Jogoos have written to the UPL secretariat asking for the clash to be postponed due to changes in their travel arrangements from Vietnam.
“Unfortunately, our flight back to Uganda has been delayed to 1:35pm. We have written to the secretariat (UPL) and we are hoping they will be positive with our request,” reads Ivan Kakembo’s (SC Villa’s COE) quote on Kawowo.
Villa are currently on their Asian tour in Vietnam where they have already played six games. They were expected to return on Wednesday 30th November.
The Jogoos are second on the 16-team log with 24 points while Vipers are in third spot with four points less.
