SC Villa seek first season victory on away visit to Victoria University

SC Villa travel to Namboole Stadium today where they will play Sports Victoria University in a search for their first victory of the 2015/2016 Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) campaign.

Last season’s trip to Namboole was a success for the Jogoos after Erisa Ssekisambu and the industrious Steven Bengo scored to hand the Blues a well-deserved victory but the story is likely to be different after enormous changes at Villa in both the playing and technical staff.

The scoring duo left the club at the end of the season with Ssekisambu joining defending champions Vipers while Bengo recently signed a one year deal with Soana FC.

Villa lost 1-0 to Bright Stars in their opening game before holding URA to one-all draw at Nakivubo Stadium.

The unpleasing results have left Villa standing 11th on the table with just a point while Victoria University stand 9th with 3 points.
