After finishing in fourth place on the league table last season, screams of dissatisfaction were heard from the club president Eng. Ben Misagga and a small faction of fans at the Nsambya based club who host their games at Nakivubo war memorial stadium.
With such discontent at heart, the club is now experiencing a new wind of change that has seen a new head coach appointed, six players set to be shown the exit while three new ones have been signed so far.
Over the weekend, former player Deo Sserwada a.k.a Kajambiya was unveiled as the Jogoos’ new coach replacing Ibrahim Kirya. And now we have learnt that six players in the names of Isaac Muleme, Jonathan Mugabi, Suleiman Ochero and Miss Katende, all defenders, a goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato and striker Karim Ndugwa are all to be released by the club and have been told to begin the quest for their next destinations.
The 16-time league record champions have now completed the signing of defenders Bernard Muwanga and Joseph Nsubuga from Bright Stars for a transfer fee that has not been disclosed.
Earlier on the Jogoos signed Ayub Kisaliita (a defender) from Lweza FC and are also interested in securing KCCA FC’s duo that is composed of goalie Yasin Mugabi and striker Herman Wasswa who once featured for the same side between 2011 and 2013.
Suspended stars AbdulKarim Kasule and Yesseri Waibi have also had their suspension lifted.
