SC Villa President Missaga embarks on building Fan base

SC Villa’s newly elected President, Eng. Ben Misagga has embarked on a massive fans’ recruitment drive where he targets 6000 fans in his first 90 days of tenure in office.

“We have 60 established branches across the country. We need each branch to mobilize 100 fans who are duly registered and our target should be 6000 by the close of business in 90 days”, said Misagga at a special day long induction course of the club executive. 

Ben Misagga was recently elected new SC Villa president, on 2nd August 2014, unopposed at the club’s elective assembly held at Ivy’s Motel in Wakaliga. He has since then put in place 3 special working committees under the umbrella of three distinct wings; Villa Park Committee, Welfare and fans’ mobilization. 

“I will need reports at the end of each week starting today (day of induction),” he signaled to the executive members. SC Villa dedicated fans attended the long day seminar that had several presentations from outspoken personalities like Buganda’s sports minister, Henry Ssekabembe, CBS presenter Abby Mukibi, FUFA’s head of Marketing, Hellen Kirunda , Basajja Mivule and Abu Kawenja. Misagga’s 4 year tenure at the helm of SC Villa starts immediately.

He has appointed several official to different positions that will work alongside him to ensure the proper progress and success of the club. He appointed Muhammed Bazirengedde and marketer Denis Mbidde as his vice presidents.

Villa Park Committee: Chairman: Moses Matovu, Vice Chairman: Samson Nsubuga, Secretary: Ali Sulaiman Sseguya,Treasurer: Deborah Nakamanya 

Members of the Welfare Committee include: Chairman: Moses Matovu, Vice Chairman: Abel Sserwanja, Secretary: Wycliff Kalema

Fans’ Mobilization committe: Chairman: Peter Senkungu Vice Chairman: Wahab Farook Sharkooh, Secretary: Paul Kurtna Chiwa
