Sports Club Villa is set to open two upcountry club branches before the new season kicks off.

According information reaching our desk, the Jogoos will open up branches in Mityana and Hoima. “SC Villa will travel to Mityana this Saturday, 23rd July to open up an SC villa branch and then on Sunday, 24th July they will travel to Hoima to open up another SC villa branch there too,” the club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Abu Zikusooka Senabulya confirmed the development in a Facebook post on his timeline.

Zikusooka also called upon the club fans, supporters and well-wishers to come in large numbers and grace the events in the respective areas.

Meanwhile, it should be remembered that Villa hosted its home games at Sazza grounds, Mityana during the 2014/2015 first round of the season before relocating to Nakivubo war memorial stadium after realizing difficulties in travel arrangements.

However, now with the closure of Nakivubo by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) due to tax arrears, it remains unclear where the ‘Blues’ will host their home games if the stadium is not reopened on time ahead of the 2016/2017 Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) campaign that kicks off on 19th August.
