SC Villa Lose Home Record As Vipers Climb Top of The UPL Table

Sports Club Villa lost their unbeaten home record in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) on Friday when they lost 1-0 to the defending champions KCCA FC at the Ssaza grounds in Mityana. Paul Muchreezi scored the only goal of the day in the 70th minute of the game which saw the defending champions walk away with maximum points.

At Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso, Vipers handed winless Soana their 6th defeat of the season from 7games leaving them bottom at 1point on the 16-team log. Vipers climbed to the top of the Uganda Premier League thanks to Farouq Miya and Saddam Ibrahim Juma’s goals that gave them victory as Villa lost to KCCA FC.

At Wankulukuku stadium, Alex Isabirye’s side URA FC continued their winning streak with another 4-2 victory over league debutants Lweza FC. The ‘Tax Collectors’ registered their third consecutive victory of the season while Lweza recorded their fourth loss in the campaign.

Entebbe 0 – 0 BUL
Soana 0 -2 Vipers
Lweza 2-4 URA
SC Villa 0-1 KCC FC
