After a successful massive summer transfer recruitment of players and a new technical team, Sports Club Villa has kicked off intensive training ahead of the new season.

Following a trophy-less 2015/2016 campaign, the  9-time Uganda Cup winners embarked on a recruitment exercise that has seen the coming of an entire new technical team led by head coach Deo Sserwada, his assistant Shafik Bisaso among others along with 13 new players. The latest signing for the Jogoos is striker Alex Kitata, also known as Benzema from The Saints Football Club.

Meanwhile, the club has also loaned out six players, some of whom are new faces at the camp. The loaned players include; Muwadda Kateregga, Francis Mayega, Edward Kawooya, Michael Owinya, Abdul Bogere and Ramathan Ddudu.

The training at Villa Park in Nsambya was graced by some fans during which fitness levels were checked in preparation for the 2016-2017 season. Goalkeeping coach Chris Lobo, conditioning and fitness coach Ram Amooti Nyakana were also present.
