Sports Club Villa is set for a massive Nakivubo Derby today with a rejuvenated Rwenshama who have won two games in a row since the kick-off of the second round of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) beating Simba F.C and Sport Club Victoria University 2-0 and 1-0 respectively.
Meanwhile, the “Blues” managed to win their first second round encounter against Sadolin Paints by 1-0 which has left them in second spot on the UPL table with 36 points from 16 games and only behind KCCA who are top with 36 points from 17 matches and a better goal difference.
Rwenshama’s two wins have elevated them to 14th place with 14 points from 17 games.
Elsewhere, Bright Stars host league killers of Kiira Young who will be playing their first game since the resumption of the UPL. This has been as result of having some of their star players like Teko Derrick and Nkuubi Brian summoned to the Under-23 national team that had travelled to Mozambique hence their fixtures had to be postponed. The Kobs team returned yesterday.
Bright Stars also had their number one goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya and senior defender Joseph Nsubuga on that U-23 team. The game will be played at the Matugga Stadium.
At the Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso, a struggling Soana will host the tax collectors of Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
