Sports Club Victoria University (SC VU) will be seeking redemption today when they travel to Luzira ground to face off with Maroons Football Club in a relegation tie of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
The two sides find themselves in the relegation zone with Victoria University in 14th place and seven points above bottom side Maroons.
While SC VU have managed to secure a point from their last three league ties, the same cannot be said of the Prisons’ side who have lost all their three second round games under the full charges of Paddy Kintu who assumed full powers following the departure of Asaph Mwebaze.
A win for the visitors would see them out of the relegation zone to go 13th on the table and displace The Saints while a victory for the hosts can only revive their hopes of surviving relegation but wouldn’t change their position as they lie bottom with only nine points from 18 games.
Maroons will be without the services of Kitagenda and Akuyo who are both nursing sprained ankles. Kamoga and Anguyo also remain on the sidelines while Orombi continues to nurse a fractured leg. On the other hand, SC VU will have their full army available.
