Shake Yo Bam Bam is the fifth single off Sauti Sol’s upcoming third album: LIVE AND DIE IN AFRIKA, set for release in 2015. The music video of Shake Yo Bam Bam was shot in Nairobi by legendary Nigerian video director Clarence Peters, in a series of upcoming collaboration videos with Sauti Sol.
Shake Yo Bam Bam, a bona fide party track, is reminiscent of an earlier (90s) Kenyan music style, and fashion. The lyrics of the song flaunt Sauti Sol’s celebration of hood vibes and street-smart youth who set trends and shape the urban culture. The styling and dance choreography emphasise this.
Shake Yo Bam Bam was written and produced by Sauti Sol (under Sauti Sol Entertainment). It was co-composed by Awilo Longomba.
