The upcoming season of Coke Studio Africa promises to be fire judging from the artiste pairings. Could it get better than this? Top Congolese entertainer Fally Ipupa joins one of Africa’s biggest music groups: Sauti Sol to produce new music on the show. The Sauti Sol and Fally pairing is undoubtedly the show’s most avant-garde, set to unite music fans Africa.

Sauti Sol exclusively revealed their enthusiasm to collaborate with one of Africa’s top artistes. “We are proud to work with Fally Ipupa. This is a statement to our Live and Die in Afrika motto and theme – the best of entertainment and music can also be made right here in Africa,” adding, “This will be the best music collaboration on the show this year – wait and see!”

Fally and Sauti Sol will be produced by Nigerian hitmaker Masterkraft, who is also responsible for producing Ghana’s Efya and Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo on the show’s new season.

The “Sexy Dance” singer is representing DRC, one of the six new countries added onto the fourth season of Coke Studio Africa, set to premiere later this year. The rest include Ethiopia, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

What’s more? Sauti Sol and Fally Ipupa will also be working with Nigerian singer Simi of the hit single “Jamb Question”. Simi was also featured on the acclaimed short film by Nigerian artist Falz the Bahd Guy. All the artistes will be directed by the renowned record producer, pianist and composer: Mpho Pholo – Coke Studio Africa’s new music director known to many as 37 mph.
