Barely a week after South African topflight side, Bidvest Wits, invited Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) left back Joseph Benson Ochaya for trials, a Saudi Arabian club has also tabled a whopping 1billion shillings bid for the defender.

Saudi’s premier division team known as Al Fateh Sports Club has invited the Kasasiro Boys’ 2015/2016 season MVP and Cranes full back for trials along with a reported $300,000 bid.

“We received Al Fateh’s offer and communicated back,” David Tamale, the KCCA FC Chief Executive Officer confirmed the club’s receipt of the invitation letter to Kawowo.

He also added that the club will have to let the former Asante Kotoko (Ghanaian club) defender head to South Africa to see what Bidvest Wits have to offer since they were first in line before the club makes a final decision. “As a club, we have fully blessed his move. We have also notified FUFA and we wish him the best,” Tamale remarked.

Ochaya recently took part in the league champions’ 2-0 win over Kamuli Park in a pre-season friendly on Saturday ahead of his Monday trip to South Africa.
