Renowned Ugandan videographer and film director Sasha Vybz, born Ian Akankwasa, continues to cement his place as one of East Africa’s top visual creatives.
Fresh off high-profile projects in Rwanda and Tanzania where he directed videos for Bruce Melodie and Diamond Platnumz, Sasha has recently delivered striking visuals for artists including Sheebah, Mambo Yo, Reachel K, and Cindy.
Most recently, this past Sunday, Sasha wrapped up another major project: a highly anticipated music video featuring Congolese music icon Koffi Olomide.
Shot and directed in Entebbe, Uganda, the video has already sparked excitement in the region.
Speaking about the project, Sasha described it as “one of the best” he’s ever worked on a bold statement from a director known for producing some of Africa’s most iconic music videos.
