Samalie Matovu

By Tuhairwe Joab

It’s been so long since people have heard anything from the vocally gifted Samalie Matovu after her hit song Omukwano Gunyuma that rocked Uganda airwaves like crazy.

She hit the industry as a gospel artiste but only to start drumming and dancing to the beats and tunes of our secular musicians and performing on the same stage with them leaving many wondering where she belongs.

It should be remembered that after releasing Omukwano Gunyuma, Samalie went ahead to do some other projects however their impact has not been that much.

It’s upon these grounds that her fans are asking her whereabouts and what she’s planning for them this year however it’s been established that Samalie is likely not to make a serious come back since she has found God’s love to be more important than her music career. She is most times fellow-shipping at Pastor Emelder Kula Namutebi’s church.
