Comedian Salvado has been forced to eat his own words following a long tirade on Social media attacking the organizers of the Konshens – Busy Signal battle. He poured out his scorn on the organisers of the battle after learning it had been scheduled on the same date (28th August) as Irene Ntale’s maiden concert.
He posted:
“Busy Signal Vs Konshens on the 28th August.. Wow, wow, wow this is a show I’ve only dreamt about in a long … And when I say long I mean a very long time.. Coz these are two of my biggest Jamaican artists..
But wait…. 28th August.. Sounds a familiar date.. Oh Crap.. That’s when my girl #IreneNtale is Launching her #GyoberaAlbum.
But the question is… Who is Busy Signal?? Who is Konshens?? Apart from what I know on Google..Fortunately I can’t say the same about #IreneNtale coz I’ve had the honor of seeing her evolve from a back up singer to arguably the best female artist we have today and I’m so proud of her hustle, Determination and drive to be who she is today.
I’m very disappointed in the organizers of the “Jamaican Battle” because out of greed, they didn’t even acknowledge that a young Ugandan female artists who has been interviewed on World BBC News in the UK as a UGANDAN DIVA is to launch her first ever album as an established artist. This is just heart breaking.”
In a sudden twist of events, Salvado deleted the post and replaced it with an apology:
“In respect of what Pepsi has done over the years in support of local talent including myself, I’ve deleted my post, if there has been any damage done, I sincerely apologize, it was never my intention.”
