Local stand-up comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi has been nominated in the “Funniest Person in the World” competition.
With palpable joy, he shared the news on social media; “Waking up to finding an email in the inbox from Laugh factory congratulating me upon being part of the “Funniest Man in the World” competition… voting has started and the more views, comments, Likes, shares and downloads this video gets will enable me go to the next round. Over 80 comics representing 56 countries are part of this competition.. So guys lets get voting. This is Comedy’s BET.”
The “Man from Ombokolo” will tussle with 88 participants from 55 countries across the globe, including fellow Ugandan stand-up comedian Pablo, for the coveted title and a grand prize of 100, 000 USD.
The competition will culminate with a grand finale taking place in Helsinki, Finland from 4th – 10th December. The competition is an initiative by Laugh Factory to promote world peace through smiles and laughter.
