SafeBoda has launched a campaign aimed at easing access to health care services.
Dubbed “Safe Health” campaign, it was launched on Wednesday at the SafeBoda Academy in Kyebando. As part of the campaign, SafeBoda will partner with pharmacies around Kampala to provide a comprehensive range of health products on the SafeBoda Shop, allowing customers to conveniently access health care.
Speaking during the launch, Dr. Fred Sebisubi, the Assistant Commissioner in Charge of Pharmacy and Ministry of Health Representative expressed excitement about the initiative noting that individuals will no longer need to flock health facilities to get their prescription.
“With COVID-19 pandemic still here, business can not remain as usual,” Dr. Fred Sebisubi remarked. “Clients no longer need to continue to flock pharmacies or drug stores to refill their prescriptions or get over-the-counter drugs. The online health pharmacy will come in handy.”
According to Shakib Nsubuga, the Head of Partnerships and Events at SafeBoda, through this campaign they will empower customers, riders as well the vendors.
“This partnership has given us an opportunity to empower our community of customers, vendors and SafeBodas by using digital solutions to solve challenges to health care access. Through the Safe-Health campaign, we are able to deliver health care products right to our customers’ doorsteps at just a tap of a button,” said Shakib Nsubuga.
The SafeBoda Shop was launched in March 2020, and so far has over 150 active vendors.
