Creative midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma is excited about joining six time league champions and 10 time Uganda Cup winners, Express Football Club.
Saddam Juma joined the Red Eagles after parting ways with Uganda Cup reigning champions, Vipers Sports Club. The 22 year old midfielder signed a six month contract with the Wankulukuku based club, and could make his debut on Tuesday, 20th September when his new side takes on Bul FC in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
“It feels great to reunite with three of fellow players I was with at Vipers, because these are good players I know and have been with for some time,” Juma said.
He becomes the fourth player to join Express FC from Vipers SC in this transfer window after industrious winger, Suleiman Mike Mutyaba, John Ssemazzi and Allan Kyambadde. Kyambadde and Ssemazzi are however on a season long loan while Mutyaba left on a permanent deal.
Speaking about the new acquisition, the Red Eagles’ head coach, Alex Gitta said; “We welcome Saddam, and he is a squad player now, available for selection and he may acquire his debut against Bul, as we see how he fits into the team. He is top quality and deserves to be here, we needed a player who can link up forwards with defensive midfield.”
Juma, a Luzira born has previously featured for Cray Wanderers, Bunamwaya/SC Vipers Sài Gòn Xuân Thành and SC Victoria University. Tuesday 20th September, 2016 Express vs Bul Bidco FC, Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
