Ryan Gosling and Evan Mendes welcomed their first child together last month and now the newborn’s name has finally been revealed.
The handsome pair have named their daughter Esmeralda Amada, according to the baby’s birth certificate, which has been obtained by TMZ.
It’s said that the pair, who haven’t been seen in public since the birth of their child, may have taken the name Esmeralda from the fictional novel and 1996 movie The Hunchback Of Notre-Dame.
While Amada was the character Eva played in the 2007 crime drama We Own The Night, where she starred alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg.
The 40-year-old actress has also reportedly given the tiny tot the nickname ‘Preciosa,’ which means precious in Spanish, and is completely besotted with her.
Meanwhile Eva’s brother Juan Carlos Mendes has said the couple are “great” parents.
The seafood shop owner told In Touch Weekly magazine: “They’re great parents.
“Ryan’s going to be a great father. He’s just such a down-to-earth, nice guy. You couldn’t ask for anything better.”
Juan has already been lucky enough to hold the couple’s daughter, and he revealed both sides of the family are “very supportive” .
