KJT Rwenshama, who kicked off their second round of the league with a shocking 2-0 victory over Simba on Tuesday, continued with their brilliant start to the second round of the FUFA Azam Premier League as they defeated Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) 1-0 at Nakivubo stadium on Friday.
Rashid Mutebi scored the only goal of the game which was enough to see off Victoria University. The goal came in the 9th minute of the game.
KJT were without their enterprising midfielder Gadafi Kiwanuka while the learners were missing the services of defender Brian Ochwo with both players on national team duty with the Uganda Kobs in Maputo, Mozambique for the All Africa games qualifier.
Rwenshama now advance to 14th place with 14 points from 17 games and just two behind last season’s league runners up SCVU who are 13th on the table.
The other game of the day at the Kakindu Stadium ended in a stalemate as Jinja based side Bul F.C were held to a goalless draw by relegation fighters Soana who were relegated to 15th place on the 16 team log with 13 points from 16 matches despite the draw against 5th placed Bul who have now gathered 24 points from 17 games.
