Rwanda has shifted their game against the Uganda Cubs from the capital of Kigali to Rubavu District which is 130km from the capital (Kigali) in the Umuganda stadium. Having been defeated by 4-0 in the first leg at Namboole, Rwanda Wasps have chosen to play mind and psychological games with the Uganda Cubs by taking them hundreds of kilometers away from the capital city of Kigali. However the Uganda cubs head coach Matia Lule says that this will not weaken his side and they will do all it takes to pick a result that can see them qualify to the next stage of the 2015 Africa youth Qualifiers.
Elsewhere with the Uganda Cranes, Muzie Dan Sserunkuma of Gomahia (Kenya) has joined the Uganda Cranes in camp at the Njeru technical center where the team is training before they set off to Mauritania for their second leg of the 2015 Africa Cup Nations’ Qualifiers at the Olympic Stadium.
Head coach Micho has chosen Sserunkuma following his brilliant display in a game where his side Gomahi came from down to beat FC Leopards by 2-1, in which he scored both goals for his side. This was done in an attempt to bridge the gap left by Emma Okwi following his groin injury that saw him out the Cranes camp last week.
Uganda Cranes trained to with 17 players in camp with the likes Benjamin Ochani, Robert Odongokara as the goal keepers; Roberts Ssentongo, Hamis Diego Kizza and Brian Umony as the strikers; Denis Okutu,Savio Kabugo, Khalid Aucho(Tusker), Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito among others.
According to coach Micho, Midfielder Tony Mawejje, first team goal keeper Denis Masinde Onyango and lead striker Geoffrey Masa who are still with Pretoria University for the preseason are expected to join the team in Senegal where they will camp before headiing for Mauritania.
