Ruyonga

By Nimusiima

Dubbed as one of the best lyricists (if not the best) in Uganda, Edwin Ruyonga showed that he is after all human when he lost his lines during his performance at Lyricists Lounge at National Theatre.

He jumped on stage with vigor, grabbed a microphone, smiled and started rapping. First line gone. However, amidst the second line, the talented rapper couldn’t remember the next words from his coffers.

He struck a forlorn figure, holding the microphone trying to remember, but it was in vain. Sunk in shame, he laughed it off and asked to start with the second verse. Nonetheless, he churned out an exhilarating performance.
